There are also cylinders made to withstand snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. This is much quicker and easier to achieve than opening multipoint locks. It also leaves no evidence of a break-in, which can hinder the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette
