Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their performance. This can increase the defense of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their respective values. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item menu. This will roll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, making traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the more health you'll gain from each point. So, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a decent-sized group of enemies in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is Best item upgrade to focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to select the potion you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.

There were a few changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For example, splash potions now have a duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Also, putting a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the liquid and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly important like a tiny thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other pieces of gear that they will not be replacing in the near future (for instance, a ring or cloak). When choosing the items to upgrade, players must also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
